1 Year Shopping Ban

Start: 25th July, 2016


  • Every expenditure must be documented
  • Things I want must be researched and put on a 30 day waiting list for re-evaluation
  • Household products such as toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, laundry liquid can be purchased as long as they are environmentally friendly
  • Toiletries can be repurchased once I have used up that item, as long as they are environmentally friendly
  • Gifts must be well thought out, but preferably gift experiences

Allowed in 2016/2017:

  • Smaller clothes (particularly jeans, underwear and bras) if I lose weight and nothing fits
  • Flow Magazine
  • Items friends make
  • Groceries
  • Household items and toiletries as long as they conform with the rules
  • The Drake jumper I want (but do I really need it?!)
  • Healthy food when out to eat socially

Strictly NOT Allowed in 2016/2017:

  • Books, including ebooks. This is until all the ones I have actually purchased are read or donated
  • Magazines
  • Art supplies until I run out of something, which means I am creating
  • Clothes in the same size or bigger
  • Furniture
  • Nail polish
  • Electronics
  • Online purchases (eek!)
